Jasmine 85 rice is a short-duration fragrant rice variety, also known as early maturing rice. Jasmine rice is currently widely cultivated and accounts for the largest area among all rice varieties. This is due to its high yield and value.
– Origin: The Jasmine 85 rice variety is an introduced variety from the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) that was selected and purified by the Mekong Delta Rice Research Institute (MARDI).
– Main features:
+ This is a variety with wide adaptability, high and stable yield, suitable for cultivation in both winter-spring and summer-autumn crops.
+ The plant has a beautiful shape, is quite stiff, responsive to fertilizers, and has a low percentage of empty grains. The plant is strong, less susceptible to lodging, and tolerant of mild salinity.
